There's Snow in Ithaca…

Saturday, January 19th, 2008 at 1:27 am

And how do I know? Because I’m back in Ithaca!

That’s right, I’ve returned to Cornell for the Spring 2008 semester to finish my MEng in Computer Science.

“But wait!” You say, “Weren’t you happily employed at EA as a technical artist for the Sims Division?!” Well, after a good year and a half, it seemed like a good opportunity to leave EA and finish that MEng degree that was put on hold for quite some time.

“So you give up this:

for this!?”

Hey Sally,

Great to hear that you’ll be back at Cornell this semester. Will you be working on a game? Are you planning to return to EA afterwards?

Hey Ben!
I have a lot of classes to take this semester so I don’t know if I can do a game project in the CIS 400 style, but I am attempting to sneak games into as many project classes as possible.
As for returning to EA, I am most definitely going to apply again when I finished, but we’ll have to see what kind of opportunities will be available when I’m done. Right now, I have my fingers crossed for applying as a technical designer…but honestly I don’t know what kind of opportunities are actually available, so we’ll have to see :).

Yay for switching places!!

Well, I hope that you find what you’re going back to Cornell for! I’m sure that you’ll be busy as hell, but I bet it’ll be nice not having to stick to a “i have to go to work every morning” pattern. Good luck!!

Got something to say?
